Parachute Packing

I learned how to pack a parachute last night.

I'm hoping that when it comes springtime, Simon will get his parachute professionally checked to make sure that I didn't screw anything up for him. I'd feel really bad if he hurt himself. I'd laugh at him just to be evil, haha, but I'd definately feel really extremely bad. :^)

Packing a parachute ended up being just as complicated as I'd expected.

You have to make sure the parachute:

-unfolds reliably, so the entire parachute inflates correctly
-unfolds consistently, so the skydiver knows what to expect when the parachute opens
-unfolds without twisting, so the skydiver is facing the right direction after deployment
-unfolds without tangling the lines
-unfolds at the right pace - If it unfolds too quickly, it can hurt the skydiver and/or damage the equipment.

Considering I've never been skydiving before, I definately would not trust my own parachute packing ability. But learning more about it has definately made me want to try it even more!

Yet I'm still struggling with the same problem...

SO MUCH I WANT TO DO! SO LITTLE TIME! NOT ENOUGH MONEY!

Well, when I become a superstar DJ this will all be fixed!

Too bad I'm lacking in the patience department.....
